Next Stop, Wicklow. Wexford Bus launch new route servicing the communities of Arklow and Wicklow

Continuing the pattern of growth, Wexford Bus is delighted to announce that they will be launching a new route to Dublin City and Airport for the communities of Arklow and Wicklow Town. From the 1st June, those wishing to travel can avail of the new return service which departs from Gorey up to nine times per day. Those living around Arklow Town, Ballincore, Jack Whites, The Beehive and Wicklow Town will all be able to avail of the new route and great service provided by Wexford Bus.

The last pick-up point on this new route is located at The Grand Hotel in Wicklow Town, so commuters in the area can look forward to a direct service to Dublin City & Airport. What’s more, third level students attending UCD, Trinity, DCU and the city centre based IT’s will all now have a frequent bus timetable which will make commuting in September even easier particularly for new college students.

Commenting on the announcement, Brendan Crowley Managing Director of Wexford Bus said “Through an investment of €1 million, we are delighted to be able to launch this new route in response to regular requests from those living in South Wicklow. The new route will offer more flexibility to passengers and easier access to Dublin City & Airport for our customers in these areas. Not only is this a great addition to our expanding network of routes but it has also brought about the creation of ten new jobs within Wexford Bus which we are very proud of.” He added “We continually strive to improve our service so new passengers will have access to a great range of value tickets, online booking and innovative facilities such as online seat reservation for daily commuters, on-board Wi-Fi and a live bus tracker.”

The 740A Route will start on Friday 1st June, departing from Gorey at 06.00, Wicklow Town at 06.40 and is scheduled for arrival in Leeson street at 07.30 and Dublin Airport for 08.10 .
