Experienced Parts/Store Manager with Wexford Bus

Wexford Bus is looking for an experienced Parts/Stores Manager to join our Technical Team who care for our fleet of over sixty modern coaches and buses based at our maintenance facility at Drinagh, Wexford. Our in-house HGV garage ensures that our vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe and efficient transportation experience for our passengers.

  • Oversee all aspects of the parts and store management operations for our company and HGV garage.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering, and stocking of parts to ensure availability for maintenance and repairs.
  • Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the parts department.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise inventory control, minimise waste, and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with our HGV garage team to ensure timely availability of parts for maintenance and repair jobs.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the parts and store areas.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among store staff.
  • Consult with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to track departmental performance and identify areas for improvement.


  • Previous experience in parts or store management, preferably in the automotive or transportation industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a team.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with parts ordering systems and software applications.
  • Experience working with heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) or buses is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
