New 740X Route: Direct Service between Wexford and Dublin.

Wexford Bus is very excited to announce that a new direct bus service between Wexford and Dublin City and Airport is starting on Tuesday 31^st of October.  This new direct service will bring passengers from Wexford town and Oylgate directly up the M11 motorway to Dublin city and Airport, resulting in a journey time of approximately 1 hour 40 mins between Wexford and UCD (depending on time of travel).

There will be up to 3 morning services to Dublin and 3 afternoon/early evening services from Dublin to Wexford.  These new services are ideally scheduled for those that are travelling to Dublin for business meetings, college or simply a day out.  The expectation is that these new services will be very popular.

Facts about the 740X Service:

• There will be up to 3 daily 740x services ex Wexford departing at 06:55 (Monday to Friday), 08:20 (Monday to Sunday), 10:20 (Monday to Saturday) and 18:30 (Sunday);
• There will be up to 3 daily 740x services ex Dublin Airport departing at 14:00 (Monday to Saturday), 15:45 (Monday to Friday), 16:40 (Monday to Saturday);
• Fares will be the same as the 740 Route
• Journey time between Wexford Redmond Square and UCD Dublin is expected to be approx. 1 hour 40 minutes (depending on time of travel)
• Travelling Northbound the 740x service will have pick up passengers at Wexford (Redmond Square), Wexford (Maldron Hotel) and Oylgate in Wexford. 
• Travelling Northbound the 740x service will have set down stops for passengers to get off at Kilmacanogue, Cherrywood (Loughlinstown Flyover), UCD, Leeson Street Upper, Clare Street, Customs House Quay, North Wall Quay and Dublin Airport.
• Travelling Southbound the 740x service will have stops to pick up passengers at Dublin Airport, Georges Quay, Lower Merrion St, Leeson Street Upper, Montrose Hotel (UCD), Cherrywood (Loughlinstown Flyover) and Kilmacanogue.
• Travelling Southbound the 740x service will have set down stops for passengers to get off at Oylgate, Wexford (Maldron Hotel) and Wexford (Redmond Square.
