Route 740 & 740a Timetable Changes

Wexford Bus is making a number of improvements to the Route 740 (Wexford to/from Dublin City & Airport) and Route 740a (Arklow and Wicklow to/from Dublin City & Airport) timetables from Monday July 11th 2022.

Wexford Bus is continually looking at how our schedule can be improved so that we can offer the most comprehensive and reliable service to our customers. The timetable changes coming into effect on Monday July 11th 2022 will result in a greater choice of services to/from Dublin Airport and Dublin city for our customers.

Key changes include:

  • Route 740a: more services in and out of Dublin Airport with the 15.40 and 17.40 services ex Gorey now serving Dublin Airport. The 18.00 ex Georges Quay is suspended and the 18.50 and 20.45 services will be operating from Dublin Airport instead. 
  • Route 740: the departure time of 2 services ex Georges Quay will be adjusted ; the 15.30 ex Dublin Airport will depart from Georges Quay at 15.50 ie 10 mins earlier onwards and the 16.15 ex Georges Quay will depart at 16.20 ie 5 mins later.
  • Route 740a services ex Dublin are scheduled to depart from Jack Whites and all Arklow Town stops 5 mins earlier.

Fare Adjustments from 4th August 2022

A decision has been taken to increase a selection of the adult fares on the Wexford to Dublin City & Airport Route (Route 740), Wicklow to Dublin City & Airport Route (Route 740A) and Wexford to Waterford Route (Route 340).
