Wexford Bus achieve ISO 9001:2015 certification

Wexford Bus was among 20 organisations from the private, public and SME sectors to gather at NSAI (National Standards Authority of Ireland) offices in Dublin for a special ceremony marking their achievement in becoming certified to world class business standards.

All of the businesses and bodies that achieved certification were independently audited by NSAI inspectors in order to ensure they complied with the international standards.

The ISO 9001:2015 certification is a recognition of the work and effort Wexford Bus has put in and underlines their commitment to working towards best practice.

The ISO management system helps Wexford Bus to improve our performance by encouraging a more systematic process-based approach to our business management system with a focus on management of risks and opportunities and continuous improvement.  A significant number of system improvements and efficiencies have already been introduced as a direct result of reviewing our quality management system during the certification process.

They join an elite group of over 3,000 organisations who are currently NSAI-certified in a variety of areas such as Quality Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and Energy Management.

Wexford Bus employs a team of over 70 people.  Wexford Bus operate an extensive network of national and local licensed scheduled services and also provide for school transport, private hire and contracted services.

With a fleet of 45 buses and coaches this growing business is best known for operating between Wexford and Dublin City & Airport (Route 740).  Wexford Bus operates 7 licensed services and connects most of the major towns in south east operating between Wexford and Waterford (Route 340), Carlow (Route 376) and all the major towns in Co. Wexford.  A more recent addition is Route 740A that operates between Arklow, Wicklow Town, Rathnew and Dublin City and Airport up to 18 times daily.  Wexford Bus is Certified ISO 9001:2015 and is set to carry in excess of 1 million passengers in 2019.
